پاکستان نے مکہ مکرمہ پر حوثیوں کے ڈرون حملے کی کوشش کی مذمت کرتے ہوئے سعودی عرب کی خودمختاری، علاقائی سالمیت اور سلامتی کی مکمل حمایت کا اعلان کیا ہے۔
وزیراعظم شہباز شریف نے ایکس پر جاری بیان میں کہا ہے کہ پاکستان سعودی عرب کی خودمختاری اور علاقائی سالمیت کے دفاع کے ساتھ حرمین شریفین کے تحفظ اور تقدس کے لیے غیر متزلزل طور پر سعودی عرب کے شانہ بشانہ کھڑا ہے، یہ ایک ایسی ذمہ داری ہے جسے ہر پاکستانی اپنے دل کے قریب رکھتا ہے۔
ان کا یہ بیان سعودی فوجی اتحاد کی جانب سے حوثی دہشتگرد ملیشیا پر مکہ مکرمہ پر ڈرون حملے کی کوشش کے الزام کے بعد سامنے آیا ہے۔

سعودی اتحادی فوج کے ترجمان میجر جنرل ترکی المالکی نے ایکس پر جاری ایک بیان میں کہا کہ ڈرون ‘دہشتگرد حوثی ملیشیا’ کی جانب سے لانچ کیا گیا تھا جس کو مکہ کی ممنوع فضائی حدود میں داخل ہونے سے قبل ہی جنوب رخ پر روک کر تباہ کر دیا گیا۔
وزیراعظم نے کہا کہ پاکستان کے عوام اس اشتعال انگیز اور افسوسناک اقدام پر غمزدہ اور سخت تشویش میں مبتلا ہیں،اس قابلِ مذمت اور ناقابلِ معافی اقدام پر ہمارے دلوں میں موجود گہرے دکھ اور کرب کو بیان کرنے کے لیے الفاظ ناکافی ہیں۔
I condemn in the strongest possible terms the dastardly and heinous attempted drone attack against the Holy Site of Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
The people of Pakistan are saddened and perturbed by this outrageous act. There can be no words strong enough to capture the depth of anguish and sorrow felt by us at this reprehensible and unforgivable act.
We salute the extraordinary vigilance, courage, and professionalism of the Royal Saudi Armed Forces, for their swift and heroic action.
I once again call upon all parties to exercise maximum restraint and to step back from the brink of further escalation. Our region has already suffered far too much from conflict. Dialogue and diplomacy remain the only sustainable path towards peace.
Pakistan stands unwaveringly, shoulder to shoulder with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the defence of its sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as for the security and sanctity of the Haramain Sharifain – a duty that every Pakistani carries close to their heart.

شہباز شریف کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ سعودی افواج نے فوری اور بہادری سے کارروائی کرتے ہوئے خطرے کا بھرپور مقابلہ کیا، سعودی مسلح افواج کی غیر معمولی بہادری اور پیشہ ورانہ صلاحیتوں کو سلام پیش کرتے ہیں۔
وزیراعظم نے مزید کہا کہ فریقین زیادہ سے زیادہ تحمل کا مظاہرہ کریں اور مزید کشیدگی سے پیچھے ہٹیں، ہمارا خطہ پہلے ہی تنازعات کی بہت بھاری قیمت ادا کر چکا ہے، مکالمہ اور سفارت کاری ہی خطے میں پائیدار امن کی جانب واحد قابلِ عمل راستہ ہے۔
علاوہ ازیں وزیر برائے پارلیمانی امور طارق فضل چوہدری نے مکہ مکرمہ پر حملے کی کوشش کی مذمت کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ مکرمہ کو نشانہ بنانے کی حوثیوں کی کوشش محض جارحیت نہیں بلکہ اسلام کی مقدس ترین سرزمین کی حرمت کی کھلی اور انتہائی قابلِ مذمت پامالی ہے۔
وفاقی وزیر نے کہا کہ حرمین شریفین کسی جنگ کا میدان نہیں اور نہ ہی کسی کے سیاسی یا عسکری عزائم کے لیے مقدس مقامات کی حرمت کو نشانہ بنانے کی اجازت دی جا سکتی ہے۔ حرمین شریفین کو نشانہ بنانا یا ان کی سلامتی کو خطرے میں ڈالنے کی کوشش ایک ایسا ناقابلِ جواز اور ناقابلِ قبول اقدام ہے جس کا کسی بھی بہانے دفاع نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔

دریں اثنا اقوام متحدہ کی سلامتی کونسل کے یمن کی صورتحال پر منعقدہ ہنگامی اجلاس سے پاکستانی سفیر عاصم افتخار احمد نے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یمن کی بگڑتی صورتحال انتہائی خطرناک مرحلے میں داخل ہو چکی ہے، اس حوالے سے فوری اقدامات ناگزیر ہیں۔
عاصم افتخار نے کہا کہ پاکستان سعودی عرب پر حوثیوں کے تمام حملوں کی شدید مذمت کرتا ہے، حوثی حملوں سے علاقائی امن و استحکام کو سنگین خطرات لاحق ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ حوثی حملوں کے عالمی معیشت اور توانائی کے تحفظ پر بھی سنگین اثرات مرتب ہو سکتے ہیں، پاکستان سعودی عرب کی خودمختاری، علاقائی سالمیت اور سلامتی کی مکمل حمایت کرتا ہے، پاکستان سعودی عرب کے اپنے دفاع کے جائز حق کی مکمل حمایت کرتا ہے۔

At the UN Security Council Emergency Meeting on Yemen
(15 September 2026)
********Thank you, Madam President. I would like to thank Assistant Secretary General Khalid Khiari for his briefing. We also welcome the participation of the distinguished representatives of Yemen and Saudi Arabia to this meeting.

2. The very fact that the Council is meeting again in less than one week speaks to the urgency and gravity of the rapidly deteriorating situation in Yemen. The Houthi military escalation inside Yemen, the continued Houthi attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the latest military developments along Yemen’s Red Sea coast have brought the conflict to an extremely dangerous juncture.
3. Pakistan condemns, in the strongest terms, all Houthi attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Yesterday, Prime Minister Mohammed Shahbaz Sharif, in his conversation with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, reiterated Pakistan’s strong condemnation of these attacks and underscored that they threaten regional peace and stability with serious consequences for the global economy and energy security. Pakistan will continue its earnest efforts at the highest levels to help diffuse tensions and advance peace and stability in the region.
4. Pakistan reaffirms its unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, security, and prosperity of Saudi Arabia and stands in complete solidarity with its leadership, government, and brotherly people of the kingdom. And consistent with the UN Charter and international law, Pakistan fully supports the kingdom’s legitimate right to take all necessary measures to defend its territory, protect its citizens, and safeguard its national assets against any threat.

5. The expansion of Houthi attacks in and around Bab al-Mandab, this vital maritime corridor, represents a serious escalation. Combined with continued violations of international law against commercial shipping, these developments pose a growing threat to freedom of navigation and the uninterrupted flow of international maritime commerce. Any attempt to threaten, obstruct, or weaponize the vital waterways will have consequences for international trade and commercial shipping, global supply chains, and energy security.
6. The relative calm painstakingly maintained in Yemen since 2022 has unfortunately collapsed. Continued escalation risks reigniting a full-scale conflict and drawing Yemen deeper into the wider regional confrontation. This must be prevented.
7. The current developments further exacerbate the already dire humanitarian situation in Yemen, compounding the suffering of the Yemeni people. Diplomacy must assume urgency in proportion to the gravity of this situation. We strongly support the resumption of an inclusive, Yemeni-led and Yemeni-owned political process under United Nations auspices, and in this regard, appreciate the Special Envoy for his continued engagement.

8. Pakistan will continue to support all sincere efforts towards de-escalation, dialogue, and a comprehensive political settlement that can bring lasting peace and stability to Yemen and the wider region.

ان کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ باب المندب کے گرد حوثی حملوں کا پھیلاؤ سنگین کشیدگی کا باعث ہے، تجارتی جہاز رانی کے خلاف کارروائیاں آزادیٔ نقل و حرکت اور عالمی بحری تجارت کے لیے بڑھتا خطرہ ہیں۔ اہم بحری گزرگاہوں کو خطرے میں ڈالنے یا بطور ہتھیار استعمال کرنے کے عالمی تجارت وتوانائی کےتحفظ پر سنگین اثرات ہوں گے۔
عاصم افتخار نے کہا کہ یمن کے بحران کی سنگینی کے پیش نظر سفارتی کوششوں میں فوری تیزی لانا ہو گی۔ پاکستان اقوام متحدہ کی زیرِسرپرستی جامع، یمن کی قیادت میں سیاسی عمل کی بحالی کی بھرپور حمایت کرتا ہے، یمن میں کشیدگی میں کمی، مذاکرات اور سیاسی تصفیے کیلئے مخلصانہ کوششوں کی حمایت جاری رکھیں گے۔
