Dengue virus, a mosquito-borne viral disease, has seen a rapid increase in global prevalence in recent years. The primary vectors responsible for transmitting the virus are female mosquitoes, predominantly Aedes aegypti, and to a lesser extent, Ae. albopictus.

This surge in cases underscores the urgent need for concerted efforts in mosquito control and public health initiatives to curb the spread of dengue in the region.
