Sindh govt has granted 50,000 jobs on fake domiciles: Mustafa Kamal

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM) leader Mustafa Kamal has made allegations against the Sindh government, claiming that over 50,000 jobs have been given through fake domiciles.

Kamal, during his press conference, accused the provincial government of recruiting individuals by taking money from them. He said that despite the existence of a comprehensive recruitment procedure, the tasks that typically span several years have been accomplished within matter of days.

“At least 50,000 people were granted positions based on false domiciles. However, the court has intervened and imposed a stay order on government hirings following MQM’s plea against the Sindh government,” Kamal said.

Meanwhile, Mustafa Kamal also expressed concern that employment prospects have been increasingly unattainable for Karachi’s youth. He further highlighted the struggle of citizens to access clean drinking water and said, “the water tanker network is amassing substantial profits from water sales.”

“Bilawal Bhutto is fighting a war with Modi for Kashmir, but isn’t the Sindh government doing the same thing with citizens in Karachi?” he questioned.
