Rs. one million reward announced for Arshad Nadeem’s silver medal victory

ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has declared a reward of Rs. 1 million for Arshad Nadeem following his remarkable achievement of securing the silver medal in the javelin throw event at the World Athletics Championship.

Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman of the Senate, extended his congratulations to the internationally renowned athlete, Arshad Nadeem, for his impressive feat in clinching the silver medal. Sanjrani assured that he will personally visit Arshad Nadeem’s residence to confer the prize, acknowledging the athlete’s significant contribution in bringing prominence to Pakistan on the global stage.

Additionally, the Senate Chairman praised Arshad Nadeem’s outstanding performance at the international competition, achieved despite facing resource constraints.

He expressed his confidence in Nadeem’s potential to secure more accolades for Pakistan in the forthcoming events.

Arshad Nadeem, the javelin thrower and Olympic participant, etched his name in Pakistan’s history by securing the silver medal at the World Athletics Championships. The event took place in Budapest, Hungary, where Nadeem’s prowess propelled him to the second position in the javelin throw competition.

Notably, Neeraj Chopra of India clinched the gold medal by a mere margin of less than half a meter.

Nadeem’s throws during the competition were as follows: 74.80 meters in the first attempt, 82.81 meters in the second, an impressive 87.82 meters in the third, 87.15 meters in the fourth, and 81.86 meters in the sixth. Unfortunately, his fifth attempt was deemed a foul.
