Ramzan moon: Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee meets on March 11

ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee will meet in Peshawar on March 11 to sight the Ramzan moon.

Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal committee Abdul Khabir Azad will preside over the meeting. 

The Committee would convene in Peshawar along with zonal committees meeting in their respective domains to collect and assess moon sighting reports.

First Roza in Pakistan likely on March 12

This means that the holy month of Ramzan will most likely begin on March 12 in Pakistan. Earlier, weather analyst Jawad Memon had also predicted that Ramzan in the country will begin on March 12.

Muslims around the world observe fast from dawn till sunset with the fasting hours falling between 12 to 17 hours —depending on the geographical locations across the globe.
