ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan army has extended congratulations to the nation for the successful and peaceful conduct of the recent general elections.

In a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the armed forces and law enforcement agencies ensured security throughout the electoral process.

The ISPR said that approximately 6,000 highly sensitive polling stations experienced peaceful voting, thanks to the deployment of 137,000 Quick Response Force personnel alongside other law enforcement agencies.

The army and law enforcement agencies operated in alignment with the constitution, creating a secure environment for voters, the ISPR said.

Expressing gratitude, the armed forces acknowledged the collaborative efforts of various law enforcement agencies in safeguarding the democratic process.

“The armed forces are proud to have collaborated with other security agencies to ensure the complete security of the electoral process,” stated the ISPR.

Overall, 137,000 personnel from the Pakistan army and an additional 600,000 from other law enforcement agencies contributed to maintaining security during the elections, it said.
