Two wanted terrorists killed

ISLAMABAD: In a targeted operation based on intelligence in Dera Ghazi Khan, security forces engaged in a heavy exchange of fire with terrorists on Thursday.

During the operation, two wanted terrorists identified as Ashraf Sheikh and Burhanullah, were killed, said a press release issued by military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the ISPR, weapons, ammunition and explosive materials were recovered from the slain terrorists.

The slain terrorists were involved in various acts of terrorism, including target killings, according to the ISPR.

The successful operation marks a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety and security of the citizens, the ISPR said.
