Zakauddin Ashraf had succeeded Najam Sethi as Management Committee’s Chairman when he joined the PCB on July 6, 2023.

The details of the specific reasons for his resignation are not yet known. However, the departure of a key figure in the PCB Management Committee could have implications for the administration and functioning of cricket affairs in Pakistan.

His resignation comes just a day after Mickey Arthur, Andrew Puttick and Grant Bradburn resigned from their positions at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). They had been assigned new roles in the NCA following a disastrous performance by the Pakistan men’s team in the 2023 World Cup.
