Jahangir Tareen to contest elections from three constituencies

LODHRAN: Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Chief Jahangir Khan Tareen has decided to contest general elections from three constituencies.

The IPP leader had earlier decided to contest elections from National Assembly constituency NA-155 Lodhran and had also filed his nomination papers two days ago.

However, now sources have said that he has decided to file his candidacy in two more constituencies.

It has been learnt on Sunday, that his legal team will submit his nomination papers from National Assembly constituency NA-149 Multan and Punjab’s PP-227 Lodhran.

Meanwhile, Jahangir Tareen’s daughter Meher Khan Tareen also announced her participation in the elections and received nomination papers for NA-155 Lodhran and PP-227.

Meher Tareen’s nomination papers were received by Jahangir Tareen’s legal team. She will be the covering candidate for her father’s contest from NA-155.

It may be recalled that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday extended date for filing nomination papers for two more days and it will end today.
