BENGALURU: The rain has stopped in the ICC ODI World Cup match in 2023 between Pakistan and New Zealand match being played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The ground staff is evaluating the outfield’s wetness at the stadium. The exceptional drainage lessens immediate concerns. However, the looming heavy clouds pose a potential problem. Further rainfall might result in an extended delay, causing more significant interruptions.

What will happen if the overs are reduced due to rain?
In the event of a 10-over loss, Pakistan would be required to chase 175 runs within 18.3 overs to win the crucial match against NZ.
If rain interrupts the game for 20 overs, Pakistan’s target would adjust to 92 runs in 8.3 overs. With a more extended delay of 25 overs, Pakistan’s target would shrink to 37 runs within 3.3 overs.
