Zaka Ashraf announces first-ever domestic contracts for women cricketers


LAHORE: The Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, Zaka Ashraf, made a groundbreaking announcement on Monday regarding the introduction of the inaugural domestic contracts for women cricketers.

He also introduced a substantial increase in the central contracts for women cricketers.

The captain of the Pakistan women’s team, Nida Dar, along with members of the national women’s team, met with Zaka Ashraf on the sidelines of the Lahore Qalandars’ Women Player Development Program orientation.

“I am extremely pleased to witness the remarkable progress our women cricketers have made in recent times. These athletes showcase exceptional talent and serve as true ambassadors of our nation. The dedication they exhibit on the field reflects their commitment to the sport and the pride they bring to Pakistan,” said Ashraf on the occasion.

“As we move forward, the PCB has decided to improve their contracts and our focus is to ensure that our women cricketers receive the respect, support, and opportunities they need to do well in this game,” he added.
