Two PTI members quit party

LAHORE: Two former lawmakers of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf party have announced to quit the party and politics.

Former Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi Thursday announced to quit Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and politics.

Turning to micro-blogging website X Wasiq wrote: “My political career aimed at serving the people but now it is unbearable to hold the burden of confrontation with the state and its institutions”.

Therefore, I announce to quit and leave politics and PTI, stated former deputy speaker.

He added that he defies all violent acts against the state institutions and narrative that mislead the whole nation by PTI.

Meanwhile Malik Taimoor Masood another former PTI MPA from Taxila has also announced to quit politics and PTI.

In his message on micro-blogging website X Masood wrote: “After serving 15 years in public, I have decided to leave politics and PTI.

He said it is not possible to continue confrontation politics with instigations.

“I condemn any sort of confrontation and act of violence against the state institutions”, he concluded.
