ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee has strongly condemned the detention of the party chairman in Attock jail, expressing disapproval of the circumstances surrounding his confinement.

After the core meeting, the party released a statement highlighting several key issues.

It said that the recent success of the PTI in the local elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was a manifestation of the public’s confidence in the leadership of the PTI chairman.

The core committee lauded the achievements and extends congratulations to Ali Amin Gandapur, provincial organisers, party workers, and the people for their efforts in achieving this victory.

The statement asserted that Pakistan’s future was intrinsically tied to holding fair and transparent elections, in accordance with the spirit of the constitution.

Furthermore, the core committee shed light on the alleged and hidden plots aimed at delaying the elections for an indefinite duration.

These covert conspiracies undermine the democratic process and raise concerns about the integrity of the electoral system, it said.
