DUNEDIN: Pakistan’s women’s cricket team etched their names in the history books with a sensational first-ever victory over New Zealand in the inaugural match of a riveting three-game T20 International (T20I) series.

The clash unfolded in University of Otago Oval sports ground at Logan Park, Dunedin, New Zealand, where the Pakistani squad outshone their New Zealand counterparts, securing a memorable seven-wicket triumph.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, New Zealand’s women’s team set a target of 127 runs, losing six wickets in the process during the allotted 20 overs. However, Pakistan’s determined players showcased their prowess, successfully chasing down the target with three wickets to spare in just 18.2 overs.
