LAHORE: A violent incident involving gunfire resulted in the loss of five lives, including three brothers, in Lahore’s Chung area late on Friday.

According to the local police, a clash over an alleged property dispute in the Chung area escalated into a tragic incident, leading to fatal injuries to five individuals. During their transfer to the hospital, five victims succumbed to their wounds.

Among the injured was a five-year-old named Abu Bakr, who sustained injuries during the gunfire and has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

The police said that while the exact causes of the incident have not been determined immediately, they were collecting evidence to ascertain the matter.

Those who lost their lives in the incident include three brothers, a cousin, and an employee. The suspects involved in the firing incident fled the scene following the act.

Taking note of the incident, the Punjab chief minister has issued orders for the immediate arrest of the suspects.
