Sindh governor signs law for setting up varsities in three districts

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has given his official endorsement to a law for the establishment of universities in several districts of the province.

The law was regarding the setting up of universities in Larkana, Mirpur Khas and Nawabshah.

Governor Tessori expressed the desire to witness the establishment of universities in each district of Sindh, ensuring access to higher education.

He underlined that these proposed universities would adhere to the same rigorous academic standards upheld by renowned institutions including the University of Karachi.

“These universities will reflect the same standards of excellence as at the University of Karachi and other universities in the province,” emphasised Tessori after the signing ceremony.

He further said that the establishment universities and their operationalisation was just around the corner.

The move to expand the network of universities across Sindh is aimed at providing accessible and quality higher education to students in different districts.

This development is expected to contribute to the overall enhancement of educational opportunities and human resource development in the province.
