Sindh cabinet enhances martyred police officials’ package

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah chaired a cabinet meeting, which deliberated the enhancement of compensation for the families of fallen police officers.

The meeting was told that presently, an amount of Rs10 million was being provided to the heirs of the martyred officers.

The Sindh cabinet has taken a decision to match the compensation for the families of martyred police personnel with that of the Punjab government.

Sindh cabinet approves Rs2,244b budget for FY 2023-24

This decision aims to acknowledge the sacrifices of police officers who have laid down their lives in the line of duty.

The revised compensation package will be retroactively applicable from the year 2017.

This move was highlighted by the Sindh chief minister, who emphasised the government’s commitment to supporting the families of these valiant officers.
