Two dead, several injured in multiple accidents in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Two people have died while several have been injured in three separate accidents in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi due to slippery road conditions.

According to rescue sources, two people were killed and one injured in a traffic accident on IJP Road in Rawalpindi.  

The injured person was shifted to the hospital. The accident occurred when the bus hit a motorcycle, according to rescue officials.

In another traffic accident in Islamabad at Bhara Kahu, a high speed coaster rammed into a Green Line Metro leaving 13 student passengers injured.

According to rescue sources, a high-speed coaster, carrying students from Wazirabad who had come on a school trip, rammed into a green line metro bus coming from Rawalpindi.

Police and emergency response force have arrived at the scene and injured have been shifted to nearby hospital.

Meanwhile two people have been injured when a passenger wagon rammed into a university bus on Islamabad expressway.
