Seven including folk singer perish in Mianwali road accident


MIANWALI: Seven people, including a notable Saraiki singer, lost their lives when a vehicle plunged into a canal in Punjab’s Mianwali district.

The tragic incident occurred late at night in the vicinity of Van Bachharan Pakka Ghanjira in Mianwali, reportedly due to excessive speed. Emergency responders swiftly extracted both the submerged vehicle and the deceased individuals from the canal.

Among the casualties is the renowned Saraiki singer, Sharafat Ali Khelvi.

Five passengers killed in Nowshera road accident

Upon receiving notification of the accident, a rescue team promptly arrived at the scene to retrieve the lifeless bodies, subsequently transporting them to a nearby hospital.

Local law enforcement officials also arrived at the location to conduct an initial examination of the accident’s causes, with further investigation pending.
