Fire breaks out in PTI’s Lahore office

LAHORE: Fire erupted in the office of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) located at Jail Road, Lahore early Friday morning in which a person was injured.

The injured person was first shifted to Services Institute of Medical Sciences, Lahore (SIMS) and then to Jinnah Hospital for medical assistance.

The office chairs, table, flexes, LEDs and all the equipment were burnt due to the fire.

More than seven fire tenders took part in extinguishing the fire at the PTI office.

Police stated, in this regard, that the office was locked in the morning, the drug addicts entered the office to steal the goods, during which the fire could possibly be ignited by the flame of a cigarette.

According to the police, the statement of Yusuf Masih, who was burnt and injured in the incident, will be recorded as soon as his condition stabilizes.

Meanwhile a few days back PTI accused the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) of orchestrating attack on their respective office in Karachi  

the incident unfolded at the electoral office of PTI candidate Arsalan Khalid in Constituency NA-248 of the National Assembly. Over ten individuals, including Arsalan Khalid, were reportedly injured in the attack.

PTI’s spokesperson laid blame on MQM workers, alleging that the assault was orchestrated by them. The wounded party workers were swiftly transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Jinnah Hospital for medical attention. In response, PTI supporters staged a protest at Liaquat Ali Khan Chowk against the incident.
