ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman has filed a petition with the Islamabad High Court seeking nullification of the decisions of the trial courts regarding rejection of his bail pleas in May 9 judicial complex attack and forgery cases.
The petition lodged by the PTI leader targets the decisions made by both the Session Court and the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) to dismiss his bail applications across a total of nine cases where he stands implicated.

Attorney Salman Safdar presented nine petitions on behalf of the PTI Chairman to the IHC. Among these petitions, three were denied by the ATC, while the remaining six faced rejections by the Sessions Court.
In the petition, the PTI Chairman asserts that the trial court’s dismissals lent little regard to the merits of the cases in question. He emphasizes the necessity for the trial courts to re-evaluate the cases while focusing on the merits of the appeals.
He has also appealed for an injunction from the IHC to prevent law enforcement from re-apprehending the PTI Chairman pending further proceedings.
