LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has given a clean chit to Ahad Cheema, Adviser to Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, in assets beyond sources of income reference on Monday.

In its report submitted to an Accountability Court (AC) in Lahore on Cheema’s acquittal application, the NAB has said that there are no grounds for filing a reference against him since all his assets were proportionate to his income.

It is further written in the report that Cheema’s alleged benamidars made assets from their personal income, and that the petitioner had nothing to do with them.
