ISLAMABAD: In response to a directive issued by caretaker prime minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the rescheduling of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) examination to September 10.
A circular released by the PMDC stated, “It is to inform all MDCAT 2023 aspirants that as per the directions from the Federal Secretary, Ministry of National Health Service Regulations and Coordination Islamabad, that the Federal Government has decided to extend and reschedule the MDCAT Examination to a new date i.e. 10th September 2023.”
Students protest outside PMDC against MDCAT criteria
The MDCAT test was initially slated for August 27, as per a statement from the Prime Minister Office. The rescheduling of the examination came in response to students’ requests for more preparation time, prompting the new directives for the extension.
The decision is expected to grant students an enhanced opportunity to adequately prepare for the forthcoming examination.
