Today the Election Commission’s course of action regarding the PTI Chairman came to a halt following the Lahore High Court’s recent invalidation of Section 10 of the Election Act.
The ECP was subsequently directed to carry on with its proceedings, but with the stipulation to withhold a final decision on the matter. This directive comes in light of the Lahore High Court’s decision which has triggered a reevaluation of the case.
Notices have been promptly issued by the court, with specific instructions to present the relevant petition before a full bench. This full bench is simultaneously addressing similar petitions that share comparable legal aspects.
