Lahore DHA guard assault suspects arrested

LAHORE: A security guard was assaulted by a group of armed men in Lahore Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Tuesday who tried to stop an SUV from parking in a no-parking zone.
The video garnered widespread attention after it got viral on social media, eliciting strong condemnation from the netizens.
Meanwhile, the Director In General (DIG) Operations Officer Ali Nasir Rizvi, while talking to the media, confirmed on Tuesday night that two key suspects have been arrested.

Rizvi told the media that three suspects, as seen in the video, were evading the authorities and efforts were underway to arrest them.
“During the arrests, authorities recovered 2 kalashnikovs, 2 guns, a pistol, and 29 magazines from the possession of the accused,” Rizvi added.
In a separate incident in Lahore, a traffic warden was mugged by three robbers.
According to sources, the incident took place after the warden exited an ATM booth, where he was targeted at the gunpoint by the robbers.
The sources said that warden pursued the robbers, apprehended them and eventually turned them over them to the Iqbal Town police.
