KP health department enforces uniform policy

PESHAWAR:  The Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has announced to initiate disciplinary actions against male nurses found neglecting to wear uniforms during their duties.

According to sources, the Additional Director General Health KP issued a memorandum to all Medical Superintendents (MS) of all District Health Offices (DHOs) and hospitals. The memo highlighted the department’s observation of a number of male nurses not adhering to the uniform code.

The memo also instructed hospital administrations to enforce the uniform policy and ensure its strict adherence.

Meanwhile, the health department issued a warning regarding the consequences for any violations of the uniform policy. In case of non-compliance, the nurses’ uniform allowance would be withheld, reported the sources.

The health department official said that the names of male nurses failing to comply with the uniform policy would be forwarded to the Directorate of Health.
