Iran’s FM to visit Pakistan next week


ISLAMBAD: Iran’s Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian is scheduled to embark on a two-day visit to Pakistan from August 3.

According to The Nation, during his visit, Abdollahian will hold meetings with Pakistani top officials.

Iran’s FM will also hold a meeting with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Following the metting, both ministers will address a joint press conference at Pakistan’s Foreign Office.

Earlier this month, Chief of Army Staff (CEO) Gen Asim Munir went on a two-day visit to Iran. During his visit, the COAS had detailed meetings with the Iranian military leadership including Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces Major Gen Mohammad Bagheri.

The military leadership of both the countries agreed that terrorism was a common threat to the region, and both sides had vowed to eradicate it in the border areas.
