Imaan Mazari seeks protective bail after second arrest

ISLAMABAD: Human rights lawyer Imaan Mazari-Hazir, who has recently faced her second arrest, has filed for protective bail in the Islamabad High Court.
This move comes as she was previously granted bail in two cases but was subsequently arrested again in a third case.
Imaan Mazari, known for her activism and vocal stance on various issues, has expressed her willingness to fully cooperate with authorities. In her plea to the court, she has requested the intervention to prevent the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and provincial institutions from making further arrests.
Furthermore, she has petitioned the court to instruct relevant authorities to provide comprehensive details about the cases filed against her across the country. To ensure a fair and transparent process, the Secretary Interior, Inspector General of Islamabad, and the Superintendent of Adiala Jail have been made parties to the petition.
