ISLAMABADL: In preparation for Election Day on February 8, the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has implemented proactive measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

A spokesperson for IESCO announced on Wednesday that the company has established a central control room to monitor electricity demand and supply in the region.

Field officers and staff have been instructed to remain on high alert for 24 hours, with cancellations of any planned leave.

Monitoring cells have been set up in six operational circles, equipped with necessary materials for field offices.

Scheduled shutdowns from February 7th to 9th for system maintenance have been cancelled to guarantee uninterrupted power supply during this critical period.

The Chief Executive and Chief Engineer Operations will personally oversee operations to ensure efficient management.

Field formations are in constant communication with district administrations to swiftly address any potential issues.
