Former principal secretary ‘missing’: Family

Azam Khan

ISLAMABAD: Former Principal Secretary (PS) to Prime Minister, Azam Khan has been reported missing in Islamabad.

An application has been filed at the Kohsar police station in Islamabad by his nephew in this regard. The family also claims that Khan’s mobile phone is switched off so far.

Azam Khan was previously reported to be one of the alleged characters on the infamous ‘cipher’ call audio leak that came into light in September last year.

Then principal secretary to the prime minister, Khan proposed a meeting in which Shah Mahmood Qureshi would, as foreign minister, read out the letter so that the cipher issue is “brought on record”.

Police has accepted the application and is investigating the matter.
