RANIPUR: Police have deployed a contingent outside Pir Asad Shah Jeelani’s residence, tasked with conducting DNA tests on all the employees and other males who enter and exit the premises.
The police have confirmed the collection of DNA samples from four employees. Furthermore, a list of the residence owners, servants, and other male individuals who frequently visited the premises has been compiled.
According to Senior Superintendent Police (SSP), Khairpur, Mir Rohail Khan Khoso said the police will ensure the safe return of the remaining girls working there to their homes.
Earlier, Khairpur’s judicial magistrate granted a 4-day physical remand of Pir Asad Shah Jeelani. He is the prime suspect, following accusations of torturing his 10-year-old maid which ultimately led to her tragic death.
The matter first gained attention with the emergence of a distressing video showing Fatima’s body exhibiting signs of severe torture. The video depicted the young girl attempting to sit up on her bed but eventually succumbing to her injuries.
