BEIJING: The Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine is inviting Pakistani talent within the medical field to visit and avail training opportunities.
The Hospital’s President Professor Liu Qingquan told China Economic Net, “we are also more willing to send our medics to Pakistan for further research into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).”
TCM practitioners use various psychological, physical and herbal approaches to treatment, viewed as an alternative to modern medical practice.
“We welcome Pakistani talents to explore more in terms of the combination of TCM and modern technology to improve the quality of life of patients,” Liu said.
According to the hospital, there are seven characteristic diagnosis and treatment centers of TCM in Beijing. These include the fields of dermatology, cardiovascular, digestion, acupuncture and moxibustion, pediatrics, gynecology, and preventative treatment.
Established in 1956, the hospital is the only comprehensive and modernized grade-A tertiary hospital of TCM in Beijing.
Meanwhile, a four-member Pakistani delegation, led by Sindh Minister for Health & Population Welfare Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, arrived in China on July 12 for a 12-day visit.
They participated in dialogues with Chinese health departments, hospitals, and institutions and exchanged ideas on topics including talent exchange, construction of TCM teaching system, clinical research, and the compilation of China-Pakistan herbal books.
