All political parties will have 54 days for election campaign: Solangi

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Murtaza Solangi on Thursday said that, under the Election Act 2017, all political parties will be given 54 days for election campaigns.

Solangi made these comments during a press conference with Caretaker Federal Minister for Privatization Fawad Hassan Fawad.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday announced that general elections will be held in the final week of January 2024.

The electoral body said the initial list of delimitations, which are being carried out in line with the new census, will be published on September 27.

The ECP said the final list of constituencies will be published on November 30 after hearing the objections and suggestions related to the delimitations.
