Selena Gomez drops release date for her new song

TEXAS: Popular singer Selena Gomez on Thursday announced the release date for her highly-anticipated “new” song, leaving fans excited.

Gomez took to her Instagram to share the news with her fans and said that her new song Single Soon is scheduled to launch on August 25.

The singer-actress who has been focusing on her role in Only Murders in the Building and other movie projects, is making a return to her original music. The Baby Calm Down singer wrote on her social media: “Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Presave it now.”

According to the media reports, while Gomez was crafting her new album, she wanted to gift her audience with a lively song to enhance their end-of-summer experience. Produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat, Single Soon is available for pre-order and also as a limited edition 7″ vinyl.

The release of Single Soon follows closely behind Gomez’s collaboration with Afrobeats sensation Rema on the chart-topping remix of Calm Down. The superhit track has made significant strides on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, reaching a peak position of No. 3. Notably, it has recently received triple-platinum certification from Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Earlier, during the Variety Hitmakers event last year, the Lose You to Love Me singer expressed her happiness and the desire for her audience to feel uplifted when they listen to her new music, emphasising her intention to spread positivity through her upcoming record.
