It is important for men to establish and respect boundaries, says Adnan Malik

LAHORE: Adnan Malik has said that boundaries were important for men in relationships.

Malik on Wednesday took to his Instagram to voice his opinions regarding consent, boundaries and relationships. He shared a video from a life coach and wrote, “Boundaries are the foundation of every relationship. It is crucial for us men to establish and respect our boundaries, ensuring clear consent in our decisions.”

According to Express Tribune, the Sadqay Tumhare actor incorporated a poll to gauge public interest in a potential workshop centered around “expressing distinct desires, establishing and upholding healthy boundaries, and enhancing understanding of consent.”

The multitalented actor-director said that the self-improvement process has been personally transformative and has helped him through his journey of emotional healing. He said that self-reflection has equipped him with the “tools to navigate familial and personal relationships” with greater integrity.

Meanwhile, the poll results supported his workshop idea, with approximately 75 per cent of respondents expressing openness to the concept.

The Cake actor has actively engaged in discussions and seminars regarding ‘men’s mental health’. In 2019, Adnan Malik talked about the construct of ‘masculinity’ through his Instagram and explored the notion in wider perspectives.

The 44-year-old actor commented, “Given the influence of significant movements like #MeToo and #TimesUp, it is imperative that we, as men, reconsider the essence of ‘manhood’ and ‘masculinity’.”
