LOS ANGELES: American music icon Cher has launched her gelato brand Cherlato.

The celebrated singer-songwriter revealed her dessert venture through an Instagram video on Sunday, showcasing a vibrant ice-cream truck adorned with her photos and the brand’s name, Cherlato, set to her iconic song Believe.

While the 77-year-old artist has previously ventured into the fashion and beauty industry, this marks her first foray into the world of food.

Meanwhile, fans expressed their excitement, with many saying they would make a trip to Los Angeles for the delightful experience. Some even suggested ice cream names inspired by famous song titles.

Earlier this year, If I Could Turn Back Time singer had teased her new venture, hinting at a collaboration with a renowned ice cream maker. Cher had tweeted, “Having a meeting about my ice cream. It’s a collab with the greatest ice cream magician in the world.”

During her interview with Elle magazine, Cher shared that despite her incredible success, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. She told that how she encountered major failures and constant criticisms from naysayers.

Growing up in modest circumstances, Cher’s journey to stardom began in the mid-1960s alongside her ex-husband Sonny Bono, leading her to become a chart-topping star and an legendary music icon.
