LONDON: Former Pakistani accountability czar under Imran Khan, Mirza Shehzad Akbar who is currently in exile in England with his family, reported an assault at his residence involving an acidic substance.

He posted the details of the alleged attack on his X (formerly twitter) account.

The controversial political figure stated that while his family remained unharmed, he sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He praised the prompt response of police and emergency services, noting enhanced security at his home following the attack.
