Security forces kill three terrorists in Tirah

RAWALPINDI:  In an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in the vicinity of Tirah, Khyber District, security forces have successfully neutralized three terrorists, as announced by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the operation, which took place during the night of September 25-26, was launched in response to intelligence reports indicating the presence of terrorists in the area.

The statement noted, “During the course of the operation, a fierce exchange of fire occurred between security forces and the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists.” Notably, among the deceased terrorists was Commander Kifayat, also known as Tor Adnan, who had been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities targeting both law enforcement agencies and innocent civilians, as per the statement.

Furthermore, the statement emphasized ongoing efforts to clear the area of any remaining terrorists through thorough sanitization operations. It underscored the unwavering determination of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate the scourge of terrorism.

Last month, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir underscored Pakistan’s vital role in combating terrorism and urged the international community to acknowledge the immense sacrifices made by the country in this endeavor.
