ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Court (NAB) has initiated the implementation of directives from the Supreme Court, leading to the summoning of two leaders from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
NAB has furnished a list comprising 80 cases to the Registrar Office, with 26 references having been formally presented before the accountability courts. Specifically, the Islamabad Accountability Court has issued summonses to Speaker of the National Assembly, Raja Pervez Ashraf, and People’s Party leader Rubina Khalid.
Of the references presented, five were submitted to Accountability Court No. 1, eight to Court No. 2, and 13 to Court No. 3. Staff members of Court No. 2 and 3 have been recalled to their duties, having been temporarily assigned to other courts due to the unavailability of judges.
