SC issues detailed verdict in land grabbing case against Lt-Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued a detailed verdict in a case involving former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt-Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed, who was accused of land grabbing by Kunwar Moeez Ahmed Khan, the owner of TopCity-1.

According to the written verdict, “the petitioner filed a case against Faiz Hameed, alleging misuse of authority, and the court acknowledged the gravity of the allegations. The petitioner claimed that Faiz Hameed orchestrated the looting of valuable office equipment and instigated the filing of false cases against the petitioner and their family.”

The written verdict further highlighted the petitioner’s assertion that officers under Faiz Hameed abused their powers at his behest.

The Supreme Court dismissed the petition. The court said that “the case did not fall under the purview of Article 184(3) and advised the petitioner to seek remedy through the appropriate legal channels.”
