Saudi Crown Prince to make brief visit to Pakistan on Sept 10

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), is set to undertake a brief visit to Pakistan during the second week of September.
Diplomatic sources have indicated that the Saudi crown prince’s itinerary will involve two phases. He will embark on the initial leg of his journey to Pakistan, followed by a subsequent visit to India. It is projected that Mohammed bin Salman will touch down in Pakistan on September 10.
The potential visit by the Saudi Crown Prince to Pakistan is anticipated to span between four to six hours. Following his short stay in Pakistan, he will proceed to India.
Amid economic meltdown, Kakar plans trip to Saudi Arabia
The Saudi crown prince’s arrival in India is scheduled after the conclusion of the 18th G20 summit. This summit is slated to take place in Delhi from September 9 to 10. Mohammed bin Salman is expected to make his entry into India on September 11.
During his time in Pakistan, Salman will hold discussions with Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar. Additionally, MBS is poised to engage with Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir.
The deliberations during these meetings will center around bolstering the bilateral relations and defense ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, talks will encompass joint military exercises and the prospect of Saudi Arabia establishing an oil refinery in Pakistan.
