ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that that the party had secured 180 seats from across the country and would announce its prime minister candidate by Thursday.

Talking to the media in Islamabad, along with other leaders, he claimed that their party had swept all three National Assembly seats in Islamabad and four in Balochistan. He added that they have also won NA 115 seats in Punjab, 16 in Sindh and 42 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He alleged that their candidates were being offered Rs100 to Rs250 million to switch sides.

He said that the people had given them the mandate, but it was stolen from them. He said that the source of power was the people and their only demand was that the mandate should be respected.

He said that intra-party elections would be held soon.

PTIleader Ali Zafar said that he met the founder of PTI and former prime minister Imran Khan for the first time after the election.

‘Intra-party elections in 10 days’

He said that they had consulted with Imran Khan on political decisions and he said that the nation had awakened.

He said that Imran Khan had instructed the party leaders to start negotiations with parties for forming the government, the prime minister, chief ministers and the speaker of the National Assembly. He said that Imran Khan had told them to contact any party except for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, the Pakistan People’s Party and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan.

He said that intra-party elections would be held in 10 days and the Election Commission of Pakistan would have to accept the elections.
