PTI chief’s judicial remand extended until September 13

ATTOCK: The judicial remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman has been extended for 14 days, until September 13, in the cipher case by Special Court judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain.

The extension order against chairman PTI was issued under Official Secrets Act during the Special Court’s hearing in Attock jail.

The session was convened to record the accused’s attendance following the completion of a 14-day judicial remand.

Chairman PTI, was presented before the court amid high security. Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials, court staff, and legal representatives from PTI were also in attendance.

The developments follow Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) suspension of the Toshakhana sentence against chairman PTI on Tuesday when the FIA “re-arrested” him in the cipher case.
