LAHORE: Legal action has been initiated against individuals involved in obstructing the vehicle of Shehbaz Sharif, President of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and former Prime Minister.
Local residents in Lahore last week had halted the car of the former Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, in protest as he was en route to an engagement related to the forthcoming general election, expected to take place at the end of 2023.
Officials from the Rohi Nala Restoration Movement, along with local residents, jointly obstructed the progress of Sharif’s vehicle, resulting in the closure of Ferozepur Road.

Subsequently, a case has been registered against four identified individuals and 90 others whose involvement in the protest is known.
It is worth noting that in response to the incident, PML-N Spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb issued a statement earlier, explaining that the local residents were seeking an opportunity to address their concerns and that they dispersed after meeting with Shahbaz Sharif and being satisfied.
