Election 2024: Exchequer get Rs 655.7m in lieu of nomination papers fee

ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the details of revenue garnered by the national treasury through the submission of nomination papers for the upcoming general elections have been disclosed.

Sources reveal that a staggering sum of Rs 655.7 million has been amassed in the national treasury from nomination papers submitted nationwide.

Out of these, Rs 407.6 million have been collected in relation to nomination papers for the provincial assemblies, while Rs 249.6 million have been deposited for national assembly nomination papers.

The nominal, non-refundable fees for submission of nomination papers currently stand at Rs 30,000 for the national assembly and Rs 20,000 for the provincial assemblies.

The amounts submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), through the submission of nomination papers, are promptly deposited into the national treasury.
