Nawaz is scheduled to fly back to Pakistan on October 21, and his flight has been named “Umeed-e-Pakistan” [Pakistan’s hope].
The PML-N’s supremo will be accompanied by party leaders, workers and journalists based in London. The special flight will arrive in Islamabad from Dubai and then fly to Lahore after half an hour.
Sharif is expected to address a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan after reaching Lahore.
As the anticipation grows for the return of Nawaz Sharif, comprehensive plans have been put into action for his arrival at the Minar Pakistan Jalsa Gah from the airport, according to party sources.
Leaders from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central team are set to welcome their party leader upon his arrival at Lahore Airport.
Two plans, labelled Plan A and Plan B, have been devised for Nawaz Sharif’s journey to the rally venue. Under Plan A, the former Prime Minister will be transported to the gathering location by helicopter, as revealed by party insiders. In contrast, Plan B envisions Nawaz Sharif’s road journey to the rally via Mall Road or Ring Road.
