LESCO officer facing death threats for action against former MNA for power theft


LAHORE: A Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) officer, Nadeem Malik, has received death threats for taking action against power theft.

According to details, the LESCO officer faced death threats after cracking down on former Member of National Assembly (MNA) Saeed Zafar Paddiar for power theft.

Malik said that he has received death threats over the phone, adding that he has informed higher authorities about it.

Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, on Wednesday, issued directions to Divisional Commissioners and Regional Police Officers (RPOs) to take decisive measures against people involved in power theft.
