Lahore police prepare security plan for Nawaz Sharif’s return

LAHORE: The Lahore police have prepared a security plan for the return of former Pakistani Prime Minister, and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif to the country. The plan includes tight security arrangements from the airport to Minar-e-Pakistan.

The police said that the anti-riot force will remain on high alert in case of any political tension.

Lahore police and city traffic police officials visited the route from the airport to Minar-e-Pakistan to assess security arrangements.

When is Nawaz Sharif returning to Pakistan?

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on Monday said that Nawaz Sharif will be returning to the country on October 21, as scheduled.

He directed all party leaders to focus on mobilising the public.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the entire nation will welcome Nawaz Sharif in a befitting manner.
