PESHAWAR: In a bid to streamline and modernise the process, the Interior Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has introduced online applications for arms licenses in Peshawar. Citizens can now conveniently apply for arms licenses through the dedicated mobile application provided by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home Department.
The initiative extends to the Branch Deputy Commissioner Office in Peshawar, where records of arms dealers are actively being integrated into the newly established online system. This move is aimed at enhancing efficiency and ensuring a more transparent and accessible approach to managing arms-related documentation.
As part of the transition to the online system, the Department of Home Affairs is urging registered arms dealers to promptly submit their records to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Jalal Branch. This step is crucial in maintaining accurate and up-to-date information within the digital framework, facilitating a more effective regulation of arms-related activities.
The digitisation of the arms license application process is expected to not only streamline administrative procedures but also enhance the overall security measures in place. This marks a significant leap forward in embracing technology for governance in Peshawar, aligning with the broader trend of digital transformation across various sectors.
