KARACHI: The bustling city of Karachi is all set to host a highly anticipated internationally certified marathon today, Sunday, January 28, 2024.

The event, organised by Sports Pakistan, is expected to draw participants from both national and international arenas.

The marathon will take place against the stunning backdrop of Karachi’s coastal routes, ensuring a unique experience without disrupting the city’s vibrant pulse.

The event, scheduled for January 28, 2024, will unfold at Nishan-e-Pakistan in Karachi. The diverse race categories promise an exhilarating experience for participants:

Full Marathon

The challenging route spans from Nishan-e-Pakistan to the DHA Golf Course Club and back. Participants are required to report at 6:30 AM, with the race commencing at 7:00 AM.

A demanding test of endurance awaits, concluding with a well-deserved medal at the finish line.

Half-Marathon

Ideal for those seeking a balanced challenge, this category follows the route from Nishan-e-Pakistan to DHA Golf Course Club. Reporting time is at 6:30 AM, and the race kicks off at 7:00 AM.

Relay Marathon

In this category, a team of four participants collaboratively covers the distance, with each member running 10.5 km. The event fosters teamwork, with participants reporting at 6:30 AM and starting the race at 7:00 AM.

5K Fun Run

Open to runners of all levels, this category promises 5 kilometres of pure excitement and joy. Participants are required to report at 9:00 AM, and the run begins at 10:00 AM.

Triple Five

Teams of five participants will complete the 5-kilometre run together. Reporting time is at 9:00 AM, with the run starting at 10:00 AM. It’s an opportunity for camaraderie and shared achievement in conquering the 5KM challenge.
